Booking Conditions

Now that you’ve experienced all that Stay Oz has to offer when it comes to Airlie Beach hotels, Surfers Paradise apartments and Whitsundays sailing tours, do know that we go the distance to provide information on our booking policies and practices because we want you to have a relaxing and worry-free holiday! Please review the following as all bookings made with Stay Oz are subject to the following conditions (whether it’s a reservation for a Broadbeach accommodation or a Sunshine Coast Qld accommodation).

Advertised rates

Advertised accommodation rates are based on 'room rate only' and are current at the time of writing. These rates are subject to change at any time.

Quotes

When quotes are given in writing (email, fax or phone) they are only valid for 48 hours, subject to availability, (although we will endeavour to keep quotes the same if booked later (between 48 hours and 1 week from time of quote). Quotes given verbally are only valid if booked 'on the spot'.

Deposits

Bookings will only be secured after a deposit has been received. Deposits are usually around 20% but can be anything from 10% to 50% depending on the accommodation house's requirements.

Full Payment

The balance of money is generally payable on your arrival at the accommodation house. However, it may be required earlier. If so, this will be made known at the time of booking. On occasion that the payment is required earlier and the payment is not made to the accommodation house by the due date, Stay Oz reserves the right to cancel the booking.

Payment Options

Payment of deposits can be made by cash, credit card (Visa, Mastercard and Bankcard only), travellers cheque or bank cheque.

Bookings made by cash or credit card will be immediately secured. Bookings made by travellers cheque or bank cheque will only be secured once the cheque has arrived at Stay Oz (which must be within 72 hours of making the booking).

Cancellation

Cancelled bookings are subject to a 20% (of total accommodation amount) fee from Stay Oz. If a deposit of less than 20% has been taken, all money paid will be forfeited.

This fee is in addition to any fees imposed by the accommodation house.

Amendments to Bookings

Amendments to bookings are subject to a $50 fee from Stay Oz This fee is on top of any fees from the accommodation house.

No amendments will be accepted within 7 days prior to check-in.

All amendments are made subject to availability. If there is no availability at the chosen accommodation house for the new dates required, the booking will be cancelled and subject to the standard cancellation fees.

Accommodation Houses

Stay Oz makes its greatest effort to describe the service and facilities of accommodation house accurately. However, accommodation houses are continually being upgraded, renovated or changed. Stay Oz, their staff or their agents cannot be held liable for any errors or omissions about a property’s services or facilities.

Any photos of rooms advertised by Stay Oz may not be specific to the room allocated.

All guests are subject to the rules of the accommodation house and are subject to any penalties made by their management for breaking those rules.

Stay Oz will not enter into any dispute between a customer and an accommodation house.

Please speak to the management of your accommodation house to find out more. Cancellation or termination of accommodation by accommodation house managers will render the booking cancelled by Stay Oz and no refund of any money paid to Stay Oz will be made.

Currency

All prices quoted by Stay Oz are in Australian dollars and are payable in Australian dollars only. All prices include Goods and Services Tax (GST).
